Mary Lindsay (Grades K-2)

Mary Lindsay has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies in Elementary Education from Western Governors University, with an endorsement in music.  She has taught full time for ten years and part time for 13 years. She was Children’s Ministries Director for Washington Conference and Guam Micronesia Mission. She enjoys music, hiking, snow skiing, jeeping, swimming, snorkeling, reading,  traveling and kayaking with her husband Gerry, and spending time with her family and friends.

 

Kindergarten and First Grade Requirements:

A child entering kindergarten should be five years of age on or before September 1 of that school year.

A child entering the first grade should be six years of age on or before September 1 of that school year.

 

The following are the conditions for exceptions to this policy:

  1. A child with a birthday within a two-week time frame from September 1 can be considered for first grade.
  2. The child must take and pass a first grade readiness test.

The school board, upon recommendation from the first grade teacher, must approve the admission of the child into the first grade program
